tutu jazz

ages: 3-4.5

This class is designed for our younger students to learn basic jazz terminology, elementary coordination skills, and rhythmic patterns all while shakin' their groove thang! All tutu jazz students will receive a tutu upon registering!

jazz one

ages 4.5-9

In this class, students will begin to explore the basic fundamentals of Jazz. Basic technique, proper body alignment, rhythm, balance and coordination will all be introduced while encouraging each dancers' individual style.  Class is set to upbeat, age-appropriate music and explodes with FUN!

jazz 2

pre-requisite:  Ages 8+, permission of instructor or completion of jazz one 

In this class, students will continue to explore the basic fundamentals of Jazz. Basic technique, proper body alignment, rhythm, balance and coordination will all be emphasized while encouraging each dancers' individual style. 

jazz 2 INT

pre-requisite:  jazz 2 or permission of instructor

In this class, students will continue to explore the fundamentals of Jazz in preparation of jazz III. Basic technique, proper body alignment, rhythm, balance and coordination will all be emphasized while encouraging each dancers' individual style. 

jazz 2 ADV

pre-requisite: Jazz 2-INT or permission of instructor

jazz III

pre-requisite: Jazz 2 ADV or permission of instructor

In this class, focus will be strongly on proper alignment and basic technique, while continuing to build on the previous years' skills.  Combinations will become more complex, and emphasis will be placed on building strength and flexibility.  Ballet class is required.

ePIC jazz

By teacher permission only. No exceptions.

This is the highest level that CDC has to offer in jazz. Classes will incorporate all the basics of technique combined with high-energy and stylized choreography that is current to the dance world. Across the floor and center combinations will become more detailed and complex as we incorporate more difficult combinations of skills. Students will be pushed to the next level in their abilities, while developing their own style.  Ballet class is required.
