dress code

Shoes and dance wear can be purchased at Ellman's (NEW location-8524 Patterson Avenue), 

or anywhere they sell dancewear (online or retail store).

ballet*

girls:  pink tights, black leotard, pink ballet shoes (above level one should not use ABT brand shoes), and hair pulled back tightly and neatly in a bun.

boys:  black tights, white t-shirt and black ballet shoes

*teacher will ask you to sit out of class if not properly dressed

jazz and musical theater

Any color, form-fitted dance wear that does not hinder movement or hide alignment. Hair pulled back off of face. Black slip-on jazz shoes are required for tutu jazz to level 2.  Jazz 2 ADV & up take class with their bare feet. Musical Theater level one should wear black slip-on jazz shoes, all above levels, bare feet. Shoes will be decided in the Spring depending on their recital piece.

tap
Any color, form-fitted dance wear that does not hinder movement or hide alignment, black oxford tap shoes, hair pulled off of face. For advanced classes, please purchase Jason Samuel Smith shoes (can be bought at Ellman's or any online retailer). 

modern
Any color, form-fitted dance wear that does not hinder movement or hide alignment, no shoes or socks, hair pulled off of face. Please always bring an extra pair of pants to this class.

contemporary

Any color, form-fitted dance wear that does not hinder movement or hide alignment, bare feet, and hair pulled off of face.

hip hop
Anything that makes you feel FUNKY!  Hair pulled off of face or secured back with a hat.
